Home Invasion - Gravel Drive in Hanmer

On Sunday, the 27th of September, 2015, at approximately 5:50 P.M., Uniform Patrol and Break Enter and Robbery Unit officers responded to a home invasion in the area of Gravel Drive, Hanmer.

Initial information revealed that an unknown suspect entered the residence and proceeded to assault the occupants with the intent to rob them. As a result of this assault, the home owners received minor non-life threatening injuries. The suspect took the personal effects of one of the victims and fled the scene on foot.

Police are actively seeking to identify a male party with the following physical descriptors:

→ Male White

→ 40 – 50 years of age

→ Wearing

   o White Hat

   o Beige Coat

   o Blue Jeans

Preliminary investigation reveals that this is an isolated incident and it believed the victims were specifically targeted by the suspect. Despite this, police encourage members of the public to secure their residence even when present in their home.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is asking for assistance from the public for information regarding this incident.
