Updated - November 21st, 2015 8:54pm: Northbound traffic on MR 80 to Valley East is open intermittently to allow some traffic flow northbound.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service wants to advise the public that northbound lanes on MR 80 N from the intersection at Lasalle Blvd. and Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury are temporarily closed to all vehicles due to a motor vehicle collision.

Vehicles travelling to Valley East must access alternate routes until further notice.

A follow-up release will be issued to provide further details and to advise when the roadway will be open to traffic.

Several other collisions are being reported in other areas of the city. Greater Sudbury Police Service is urging that all motorists use extra caution due to road and weather conditions.
