Updated - June 2nd, 2016 5:00am: Status of the a small (0.2 Hectares) wildfire north of Capreol as of the morning is "under control". We'll continue to provide any updates.

Six active wildfires by mid-afternoon on June 1st, 2016, Sudbury 23 is just north of Capreol in Greater Sudbury.

Two new fires have been discovered:
• Sudbury 23 is not under control at 0.2 of a hectare (click here to view the full size map)
• Bancroft 3 is not under control at 6.9 hectares

There are 3 other active fires in the region.
• Hearst 4 is being held at 475 hectares
• Hearst 5 is being held at 2574 hectares
• Wawa 7 is now being held at 294 hectares
