RIDE checks nab suspended driver

(SUDBURY, ON) The Greater Sudbury Police Service conducted R.I.D.E. checks on Church Street in Garson and Brady Street at Broadway and conducted R.I.D.E. checks for drivers consuming alcohol or drugs on Saturday August 27th, 2016. Through to check checks police the following offences were identified:

 

Number of Impaired Drivers (Impaired, Refuse, Over 80mg) - 0
Alcohol Related Licence Suspensions - 0
Suspended Drivers - 1
Highway Traffic Act and Other Provincial Act Offences - 2 HTA offences
Other Criminal Code Offences 0 Approved Screening Device Demands (Alcohol) - 2 SFST – Standard Field Sobriety Tests for Drug Driving - 0
Total Drivers Checked - 143

 

The Greater Sudbury Police Service reminds residents that there are always options to get home after consuming alcohol don’t drink and drive.
