Three people suffer serious injuries in crash on MR80

Updated - September 7th, 2016 12:15am: Police have re-opened MR80 near McRae Heights following a serious motor vehicle involving two vehicle that left both drivers and a passenger with serious injuries after one of the vehicles crossed the center line.

One of the drivers remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for approximately 5 hours why police investigated.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service Traffic Management Unit are investigating the events surrounding the collision. They are requesting if anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call the Traffic Management Unit at 705-675-9171, ex 2411

Updated - September 6th, 2016 7:30pm: The Greater Sudbury Police remain on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on MR 80. 
A detour has been put into place to allow motorists travelling NB on MR 80, to be re-routed onto Robin Street and subsequently Neil Street.

This area will be closed for a lengthy period of time.
