Vehicle Theft, Break and Enter; K9 unit captures 19yr old

Overnight on September 9th and into the early morning hours of September 10th 2016 a 19 year old male went on a crime spree stealing a vehicle in Capreol and crashing the vehicle on Dominion Drive in Val Caron. The male culprit then entered several other vehicles in close proximity of the crash and broke into a residence.
One resident observed the male culprit inside his vehicle and subsequently chased him and eventually recovered the culprit’s back pack. Inside the back pack were a pellet gun and numerous job resumes.
Greater Sudbury Police arrived and contained the area of Dominion Drive in Val Caron until the Canine officer and Tactical officers arrived. The fifty minute Canine track resulted in locating the male culprit hiding in a field within the contained area.
The 19 year old man is being held for Bail Court scheduled for Saturday morning, he is being charged with the following offences:
• Motor Vehicle Theft (2 counts, 1-Over$5000 and 1-under $5000).
• Theft Under $5,000.00 (3 counts)
• Possession of Stolen Property (4 counts)
• Break, Enter and Theft (1 counts)
• Careless Driving
• Breach of Probation (2 counts)
• Trespass by Night (3 counts)
• Numerous other Highway Traffic offences
