Greater Sudbury man charged for child pornography

In June of 2016, a chat website based in the United States reported to the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit that a Greater Sudbury resident had uploaded Child Pornography onto the website.

 

After a lengthy investigation, a search warrant was executed at a Greater Sudbury residence on November 30, 2016 where computers were seized by Officers. 

 

A 40-year old male from Greater Sudbury was arrested and charged with the following offences: 
Possession of Child Pornography (2 Counts) – Section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Access Child Pornography – Section 163.1(4.1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Distribution of Child Pornography (2 Counts) – Section 163.1(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The male will attend bail court on December 1, 2016 to answer to the charges.
