On the 28th of April 2014 at approximately 8:00 pm the Greater Sudbury Police were contacted by staff at the Wanup General Store on Old Wanup Road (Greater Sudbury). Two adult females attended the LCBO located within the general store. Following a quick inventory count, they were suspected of stealing a bottle of liquor.
The suspects were confronted outside the retailer by store staff. This resulted in a heated verbal argument and a call to the police. The suspects left the area in a vehicle. Responding officers observed the vehicle and engaged and identified the two females during a traffic stop. The liquor bottle suspected of being stolen was not recovered and therefore the suspects were not charged.
