City to Offer Free Hands-Only Bystander CPR Training Sessions - New Dates and Locations

The City of Greater Sudbury's Paramedic Services and the Heart and Stroke Foundation have added three additional dates and locations for residents to attend a free hands-only bystander CPR training session.

Effective hands-only bystander CPR, provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can increase a victim's chance of survival.

Free sessions will be held in various areas of the community and will be 2 hours in length:

. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lasalle Secondary School, 1545 Kennedy Street, Sudbury

. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, 275 Loach's Road, Sudbury

. Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Sudbury Secondary School, 154 College Street, Sudbury

Heart and Stroke Citizen CPR certification will be provided to those who complete the session. Each session is limited to 40 participants.
