(SUDBURY, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sudbury detachment are on the scene of a multi vehicle collision that took place on highway 17 west of the highway 144 junction shortly after 5:00 am this morning. A westbound tractor trailer loaded with timber lost a portion its load, which then spilled onto the roadway. Three vehicles then struck some of the debris a short time later. Two motorists were injured and taken to Health Sciences North with non-life threatening injuries. The highway remains closed to allow the debris to be removed from the highway and west bound traffic is being re-routed on Regional Road #55. The collision is under investigation.
