Today, in a ceremony at Science North, the United Way/Centraide for Sudbury and Nipissing District presented City of Greater Sudbury employees with the Cornerstone award, which is given by the United Way/Centraide to organizations who donate more than $25,000 in corporate, employee and event donations. The City of Greater Sudbury has previously earned the Cornerstone Award, having contributed over $283,000 in the past five years through volunteer efforts and the generosity of City Staff.
“I’m very proud of the staff who continue to give generously to make our city better,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger. “We look forward to working side by side with the United Way to contribute to the betterment of our community for years to come.”
“I am very pleased and grateful to accept this award on behalf of the organization. This campaign gives back to our community, and is something our employees believe strongly in,” said Doug Nadorozny, Chief Administration Officer.

Aujourd’hui, lors d’une cérémonie à Science Nord, la directrice de campagne de Centraide Sudbury et Nipissing, Kelli Sinclair, a présenté le prix Cornerstone au personnel de la Ville du Grand Sudbury. Ce prix est décerné aux organismes ayant fait don de plus de 25 000 $ recueillis auprès d’entreprises, d’employés et lors d’activités de financement. La Ville du Grand Sudbury a déjà obtenu ce prix puisqu’elle a récolté 283 000 $ au cours des 5 dernières années grâce aux efforts de ses bénévoles et à la générosité du personnel municipal.
