Notre-Dame Alouettes Claim NOSSA "A" Volleyball Banner

For the first time in its history, Sudbury’s Collège Notre-Dame will be send a girls’ team to the OFSAA (Ontario secondary schools’ athletics) “A” Senior Girls Volleyball Championship. The provincial championships will take place in Hamilton, from March 9 to 11.

To merit this honour, the Collège Notre-Dame Alouettes represented the Sudbury District at the Northern Ontario secondary school (NOSSA) Girls Senior A Volleyball Championship held in Espanola on February 20 and 21. The CND Senior Girls were dominant in this round robin tournament that attracted the participation of teams from Espanola Secondary School, Elliot Lake Secondary School, White Pines Secondary School (Sault Ste. Marie), École secondaire catholique Franco-Cité (Sturgeon Falls) and Sudbury’s Collège Notre-Dame. The Alouettes won all of its matches in the qualifying round and advanced to the finals where they defeated White Pines in the finals by the score of 25-1 and 25-21
