On the 23rd of January 2016, at 11:45pm, a passerby travelling on Regent Street in Greater Sudbury observed 2 males spray painting a Hydro box at the intersection of Regent and Centennial Drive. Uniform officers in the nearby area responded and located the 2 suspected males matching the descriptions provided by the complainant. Both adult males were arrested and found to be in possession of several spray paint cans and large permanent felt tipped markers. Further investigation by police has determined that 2 other Hydro boxes in the vicinity had been recently vandalized and defaced with the same tags. Both accused were returned to the police headquarters. As a result, 2 adult males stand charged with several offences including:
• 3 counts of Mischief Under $5000
• Breach of Recognizance
• Breach of an Undertaking
Both accused have been held pending a bail hearing.
