This February, the Northeastern Ontario Construction Association and Larry Berrio teamed up to bring you The Big Deal Poker Run 2016! Over the past 5 years, Larry has had great success with The Big Deal, proudly sponsoring Big Brothers Big Sisters. In 2015, NOCA introduced its first annual Poker Run, also in support of BBBS. With a shared passion for the value of child and youth mentoring and all that BBBS represents, it was decided that these two would join forces to make this event bigger and better than ever! The Big Deal raised $12,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters
Riders were treated to an incredible ride, pit-stopping at The Red Dog Grill for a quick warm-up and hearty lunch, followed by a well-deserved dinner and boot-stomping performance by Larry Berrio at the beautiful Manitoulin Hotel and Conference Centre. Prizes awarded in the evening included $1,000 in cash, 2 tickets to Boots n’ Hearts, and an outdoor fire pit. A special thanks goes out to the Sudbury Trail Plan, who kept the route well-groomed and staked the whole way!
