Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a fire within an attached garage on Levesque Street in Sudbury this afternoon shortly before 2pm.
19 Firefighters from 3 stations responded with 6 vehicles to the blaze which caused approximately $130,000 in damages. Smoke and fire damage is described as severe.
Two people were evacuated as a result however nobody was displaced and there were no injuries.
Greater Sudbury Fire Services want to remind residents to develop and practice a home fire escape place. In case a fire starts, every must know two ways out of every room. Get out and stay out! Don't try to save possessions - go directly to your meeting place outside.
