Updated - April 16th, 2016 5:55pm: On the 16th April at approximately 11:20 hours, officers attended an address on Gilman Ave, Sudbury to affect an arrest of a male in relation to an on-going criminal investigation.
Upon police arrival, the male party barricaded himself inside the residence where he does not reside. Additional officers attended the area and the street was closed to traffic in the interests of public safety.
After negotiation, the male surrendered without incident to police shortly before 5 pm. The male was taken to HSN as a precautionary measure. The 51 year old male is charged with Assault, Forcible Confinement, Choking and Uttering Threats.

Greater Sudbury Police have block off Gilman Street as they attempt to negotiate peaceful resolution to incident involving a man.
