City of Greater Sudbury seeking Feedback from Residents for the Parks, Open Space, and Leisure Master Plan

The Parks, Open Space and Leisure Master Plan, completed in 2004, provided a guideline for the development of parks, open space and leisure facilities for the City of Greater Sudbury. Input from public consultations and community groups helped to shape the direction of the Master Plan and identify priorities for our community. Many of the recommendations within the 2004 Master Plan have been addressed and now the City would like to review the plan and update the information so that it can best address the present needs of the community.

Parks, recreation facilities, trails and green spaces are here for all residents to enjoy. They contribute to the quality of life by providing spaces where we can enjoy nature, relax with the family or be physically active.

Residents are asked to complete a survey to provide information about their feelings regarding City parks, open space and leisure facilities. The survey can be found online at www.greatersudbury.ca/surveys. Copies of the survey will also be available at all Citizen Service Centres. The deadline to complete the survey will be April 24, 2014.
