Ecological Activity at Lively’s École St-Paul

Again this year, students at Lively’s École St-Paul organized an activity to help our environment. On June 9, students from JK to grade 8 went to Junction Creek to put 500 trout in the water. Afterwards, students went to Simon Lake to release butterflies that the students saw evolve from their cocoons in Mrs Punkkinen’s class. At Simon Lake, students also planted 1000 trees . A barbecue lunch for students was then provided by volunteers. In the afternoon, students from grades 5 to 8 played baseball at Oja Park. It is the third time that students at St-Paul participate in an ecological activity which consists of putting fish to the water and planting trees.
