Updated - April 24th, 2016 2:20am: Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a structure fire on Highway 144 near Dowling on Saturday afternoon just before 3:00pm.

Sources tell GSO that the fire started in the kitchen of the home.

25 firefighters for 6 stations respond to the call with a total of 14 vehicles.

Damage to the two storey single family home is described as severe. Estimated loss is approximately $130,000.

One person was evacuated and two people have been displaced as a result of the blaze. There were no injuries.

Updated - April 23rd, 2016 5:00pm: Traffic has begun moving again on Highway 144 near Onaping following a closure due to a house fire.

Expect delays for the next little while as traffic clears and emergency services clean up.
