Hydro was restored shortly after 10:00pm following an outage that affected customers from New Sudbury, The Kingsway, The Flour Mill and the Cambrian Heights area.

GSU says the problem originated with a remote switch that failed on Lasalle near Jett Landy Music.

Update - May 12th, 2016 9:55pm: All Kingsway and Notre Dame and part of Lasalle restored according to GSU. They hope to get everyone back on within half and hour.

Update - May 12th, 2015 9:40pm: Greater Sudbury Utilities says the problem originated with equipment near Jett Landry Music on Lasalle. Crews are working on it.

Update - May 12th, 2016 9:20pm: Greater Sudbury Utilities says there are about 6000 customers without power in New Sudbury, The Kingsway, Cambrian Heights, and Floor Mill areas. They are currently trying to re-route power as crews are dispatched to the area to investigate the problem.
