Impaired driver blows over twice the legal limit

(SUDBURY, ON) Greater Sudbury police responded to a "Failing to Remain as the Scene of a Collision' complaint on Wednesday June 15th, 2016 around 10:30 pm.

Witnesses observed a white Ford pickup driving over a lawn and striking a parked vehicle at a residence in Chelmsford causing severe damage to the parked vehicle. The driver then proceeded to flee the scene.

Shortly after, police received another compliant of a white Ford pickup truck driving erratically on Lorne Street in Sudbury. Police were notified of its direction of travel and able to locate a vehicle matching the description on Regent Street with moderate damage.

The driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.

The accused provided breath samples which were in excess of two times the legal limit. He was issued a 90day drivers licence suspension and was released with a court date.
