Police looking for driver involved in collision with pedestrian

This investigation is no longer a Hit and Run investigation; however, Greater Sudbury Police still require assistance in identifying the driver.

Original - The investigation remains open and anyone with information is asked to call Sudbury Police at 705-675-9171 extension 2609.On Friday, June 24, 2016, between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., a 12-year old, male was struck by a pick-up truck at the intersection of Van Horne Street and Howey Drive. The youth was walking his bike across the intersection when the incident occurred. The youth male did not sustain any injuries; however, the driver fled the scene in his vehicle.
The truck is described as a shiny, red, newer model, pick-up truck, with no cab on the back and a Bull-bar bumper. The vehicle was last seen traveling East on Howey Drive in the direction of the Sudbury Curling Club.
The driver is described as a Caucasian male, who is in his 50’s, bald, with a mustache and approximately 6’0 tall.
Greater Sudbury Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident, to call Police at 705-675-9171 extension 2609.
