Attempted mugging on Kathleen Street

On Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a robbery in the area of Kathleen St., Sudbury. An adult male was walking on Kathleen Street, when he was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground. The male suspect brandished a knife described as a kitchen knife. The victim managed to get free and the suspect fled the scene. Concerned citizens contacted police after hearing the disturbance.
The suspect is described a male caucasian, 6’, 180lbs., wearing a dark coloured jogging suit.
The investigation is still ongoing.
