Two robberies in the city overnight

Arround 12:30 pm, an adult male victim was approached by two adult males at the corner of Notre Dame and Lloyd Street. After spending some time with the victim, the suspects had demanded money from the victim and one of the suspects struck the victim with a baton. The two suspects fled the area on foot and the victim received non-life threatening injuries.
Criminal Investigation BEAR Unit officers continued with the investigation and the two accused were arrested later last night
on Robbery charges and they will be attending Bail court this morning.
Then, at approximately 8:00 pm, an adult male victim was assaulted on Kathleen St by an adult male known to the

victim. The physical altercation resulted in the suspect assaulting and choking the victim, then stealing an undisclosed amount

of money from the victim. The accused fled from the scene and the victim received non-life threatening injuries.

The accused later turned himself in to Uniform Patrol officers and was arrested for Robbery. He will be attending Bail court
