Assault charges following rooming house altercation

On the December 10th, 2016 at approximately 3:00pm, an argument between two residence of a rooming house started.

Following a short physical altercation threats were made by one of the accused persons to return with addition people to further assault the victim.

At approximately 5:28 PM, the accused and another individual returned to the rooming house and assaulted the victim. The victim was cut across the front of his neck with an edged weapon while being punched about the head.

The victim was treated at Health Sciences North and later released.

The first accused has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with weapon, Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, threatening.

The second accused is charged with Aggravated assault, Breach of Probation, Possession of a controlled substance. Both accused have been held for bail
