This is what Frood Road looked like on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at approximately 8:30pm.
It appears that heavy rain broke a beaver dam upstream causing water to overwhelm the creek and wash away pavement on parts of Frood Road causing washouts.
Much of Frood from Victory park to Kathleen was under water. Sources told GSO that water was beginning to flow into the backyards within the neighbourhood when these photos where taken.
City crews arrived a few minutes later to assess the situation and begin making necessary repairs.
Greater Police advise that Frood Road is closed from Burton to Kathleen Street until further notice.
