Vale wishes to advise the public that Municipal Road 55 near the Copper Cliff Bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions for approximately 20 minutes, three times daily, between Monday, April 24 to Thursday, April 27. Signs have been installed to warn automobile traffic in both directions of the upcoming outages.
The closure is required to accommodate decommissioning and removal of the high voltage power line to the substation at the South headframe of the Copper Cliff Mine.
The highway will be closed for 20-minute intervals for a total of six times during this period, with traffic controlled by the Greater Sudbury Police Services. Lane restrictions will be in place to minimize the disruptions.
