At 8 pm on Thursday March 20th, police were alerted to 2 distraught females who were on the railway bridge over Frood Road. On arrival police coaxed one of the females off the bridge. They could not get the other female to come off the bridge.

Police Crisis Negotiators were deployed to speak with her. After 30 minutes they were successful in getting her to come off the bridge.

Members of the public are reminded that in addition to being dangerous, trespassing on railway tracks is a federal offence under the Rail Safety Act and can have fines upward of $500. People can also be fined under provincial legislation for trespassing and fines range from $100-$300, depending on the province. Criminal Code charges of mischief and mischief endangering life may also be considered depending on the circumstances.
