Weekly Road Report - Septemeber 1st, 2014

Here's you weekly road report for the week of September 1, 2014

■Manhole repairs will take place at 1985 Regent Street in the westbound curb lane and near 850 Barry Downe Road in the northbound curb lane from September 2 - 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

■Fibre Optic lines will be strung at the intersection of Lasalle and Notre Dame, Tuesday, September 2, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic will not be affected.

■Frood Road at Shevchenko Avenue will be closed from August 28 at 7 a.m. until end of September 2014 due to construction. Traffic will be detoured down Shevchenko Avenue and Montague Avenue to Kathleen Street.

■Water main installation has closed Afton Rd. from Gemmell St. to Hawthorne Dr. until the end of October. It is open to local traffic and emergency vehicles only.

■Work continues on the Kingsway near Bancroft Dr., including road reconstruction, curb, sidewalk and sanitary sewer repairs, as well as storm sewer upgrades. Work is expected to be completed by October 31.

■One southbound lane on the Paris St. Bridge is closed until approximately the middle of September.

■Construction on Regent St. near Walford Rd. continues until the end of October.

■Big Nickel Mine Road delays continue as construction work continues in the area.

■Sanitary sewer upgrades, new curbs and new sidewalks will cause reductions in traffic lanes in the area of Highway 69 North (MR80) and Main Street (MR15) to Cecile Street in Val Caron. A reduction in lanes will be necessary until work wraps up at the end of October.
