Water main break in Val Caron will also affect homes in McCrea Heights, Azilda and Chelmsford

A water main break at MR80 and MacKenzie Street in Val Caron will shut down water delivery to homes and businesses from Yorkshire Drive to 500m North of Main Street (around the Caisse Populaire) from 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 24 to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014.

This will also affect water clarity for homes and businesses in Val Caron, McCrea Heights, Azilda and Chelmsford during this time.

We are asking everyone in these areas to conserve water during this time period. Residents may fill their own containers with municipally treated water at filling stations located on:

. Bay Street in Whitefish,

. Countryside Drive in Sudbury, near the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex,

Advertise Here B-r

. Bancroft Drive in Sudbury, near Moonlight Beach Road, and

. Spruce Street in Garson.

MacKenzie Street will be closed between MR80 and Lina Street while repairs to the water main take place as well as the southbound curb lane on MacKenzie Street at MR80.

Once water is restored, residents are asked to run the cold water tap nearest their water meter for a few minutes to clear water lines of excess sediments.
