Traffic stop results in drug possession and trafficking charges for two Sudbury men

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – Members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two Greater Sudbury men with drug, liquor, and Highway Traffic Act violations. The charges stem from a vehicle stop involving a Black Pontiac G5 on Highway 69 Henvey Township. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and the subsequent investigation led to the search of the vehicle.



Seized as a result of the search was crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. on August 17, 2015.



Henri J, MANTHA age 43 and Michael LEDUC age 40 of Sudbury, Ontario were charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act as well as Liquor licence Act and Highway Traffic Act charges. They are currently held in custody and will make an appearance in Parry Sound court on Wednesday August 19, 2015.
