Police investigate two motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians

Greater Sudbury Police are currently investigating two separate motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians.

The first collision took place at Westmount and Barrydowne Road around 7:40pm.

The female pedestrian was transported to HSN and is awaiting medical assessment for non-life threatening injuries.

The second involved two pedestrians were struck by a motor vehicle on Elgin St at Minto at 9:17pm. Both pedestrians were transported to HSN with what appears to be minor injuries.

I'm not surprised. I've been close to being hit so many times. Vehicles are in a hurry to turn while pedestrians are STILL crossing! they won't wait. They should wait until we completely cross the street, not just for myself. I've seen others get missed a lot it's scary. There should be a law and fines.
