Police arrest four people on drug, weapon and stolen property charges

The Greater Sudbury Police Service continues the enforcement efforts surrounding the illicit distribution of Fentanyl within Greater Sudbury. On January 28th 2016, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a Sudbury residence.
The search warrant resulted in the arrest of four people; two adult males, one adult female and one young person. All persons arrested are from the Greater Sudbury area. These individuals have been charged with a number of offences under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act and the Criminal Code of Canada. They are being held pending a bail hearing scheduled today. Police officers recovered cocaine, MDMA tablets, heroin and close to 300 Fentanyl transdermal patches. In addition to the drugs, officers seized a 9mm handgun and stolen property valued over $10,000.00. The estimated street value of the drugs exceeds $185,000.00.
