Updated: Police seek robbery suspects

Updated: March 22nd, 2016 5:00am: On the 21st March 2016 at approximately 10:00 PM, The Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a complaint at the Real Canadian Superstore on Lasalle Blvd. A male and female were observed concealing items from the store. When store a employee approached the fleeing suspect an edged weapon was brandished to assist in the escape. At which point the employee stopped pursuing and contacted police. A police K9 track was conducted. Subsequently, a 29yr old female suspect was arrested in the area. The male suspect was not located. He is described as a Caucasian male approx. 5’4” to 5’5” wearing black clothing, glasses and a backpack.

Updated - March 22nd, 2016 12:35am: Witnesses say that a young couple robbed a couple of stores in new Sudbury. Police were set up at several intersections and several others were on foot with the canine unit.

Police appear to have left the scene. No word on any arrests.
