At approximately 06:45 pm on Tuesday December 16th, a fully marked Greater Sudbury Police cruiser stopped on Kinsgway Blvd to assist a disabled out of service school bus that was not carrying any passengers. The bus was being driven to a garage by a mechanic. It had broken down. After a short time the school bus became mobile.
In a press conference today, Andrew Olivier announced that he will not be seeking nomination to become Sudbury's next MPP. In the statement made to the media, Olivier explains that Wynne asked him not to run and he was inform by the premier's office that if he sought nomination that the premier that prepared to bypass the nomination process and appoint their chosen candidate.

Greater Sudbury Transit will again do its part to help keep our roads safe this holiday season with extended hours and free bus service after 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, December 31. Buses will follow regular transit routes until 2:30 a.m.
