During the month of November 2014, Traffic Management Unit officers will concentrate their efforts on offences relating to Distracted Driving. Activities will be conducted throughout the City of Greater Sudbury to raise awareness and increase enforcement of distracted driving laws.

s in past years, some 20 Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) students dressed up for a Halloween dance held at Sudbury’s Pioneer Manor. In addition to helping residents to dress up for this special day, students escorted them to the commons room and danced with them. While certain residents watched the show with interest others danced. Without a doubt, residents and students shared a special moment and had a great deal of fun.

At approximately 5:42 pm, on November 2, 2014, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – Sudbury Detachment responded to a single vehicle rollover collision on Highway 144, north of Chelmsford.

Filming for “Born To Be Blue”, a motion picture based on the life of Jazz musician Chet Baker, will close Larch Street to traffic from Durham to Lisgar Streets between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. this evening, November 3. Access will remain open to emergency vehicles.
