Félix-Ricard kindergarten students receive Salon du livre author

As part of Greater Sudbury Francophone Book Fair (Salon du livre du Grand Sudbury) activities held in Sudbury from May 8 to 11, kindergarten students at Sudbury's École catholique Félix-Ricard received the visit of author Dominique de Loppinot who read her book entitled "Partis les bobos!" (Bye bye boo boos) to the attentive students. The kindergarten students presented the author a thank you card decorated with ban-aids!

Gatchell School renamed in memory of former Director of Education Jean Hanson

Gatchell School has been renamed in memory of Jean Hanson, the former Director of Education for Rainbow District School Board. Trustees unanimously approved the tribute at the regular Board meeting on April 29, 2014. Gatchell School will officially become Jean Hanson Public School at a dedication ceremony at the school on Monday, May 12th.
