The Sudbury & District Health Unit has posted signs at the following beach advising against swimming at this time: Nepahwin Park Beach, City of Greater Sudbury

As announced in last night’s episode of The Amazing Race Canada, the popular show will feature Greater Sudbury on its program airing Wednesday, August 12. Together with Ontario Tourism, Tourism Northern Ontario and other community partners, the City of Greater Sudbury’s Economic Development team worked with CTV and the show’s producers to showcase Greater Sudbury as part of this season.

Greater Sudbury Police are reporting that a bear was shot and killed in New Sudbury yesterday morning and that the bear suffered before dying.

On Sunday July 26th 2015 at approximately 8:50 p.m. two adult males attended Bessie Avenue in Sudbury. They wished to address unresolved conflict with a male who is apparently known to them.
