Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sudbury detachment are on the scene of a multi vehicle collision that took place on highway 17 west of the highway 144 junction shortly after 5:00 am this morning.

As a result of an on-going investigation by members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service`s BEAR Unit, the suspect for the Robbery at the Jem Mart on Kathleen St., which occurred on November 22nd, was identified as Brian Bushey (51 yrs. CGS).
OPP advise that Highway 537 is closed at Jumbo Creek as the result of water over the travelled portion of the roadway.

The Ontario Civilian Police Commission has released its decision involving Sergeant Gary Lavoie and the Greater Sudbury Police Service. Lavoie had been suspended from duty on September 7, 2011 on allegations of a number of breaches of Code of Conduct under the Ontario Police Services Act.
