At approximately 1:20 pm today officers responded to a home invasion robbery at a Myles Street residence located in Sudbury. Information was received that a firearm was involved in the incident.

Editorial - Petition for Missing Persons Legislation Introduced to Legislative Assembly of Ontario

On October 20th, Catherine Fife introduced the first petition calling for the government of Ontario to introduce Missing Persons legislation. Currently Ontario does not have missing persons legislation which means that police are often unable to conduct thorough investigations upon receipt of a missing person report where criminal activity is not considered the cause.

At first glance many were under the assumption that because voter turnout exceeded fifty percent that the referendum questions we're binding and all three have been passing. A closer look at the municipal act however reveals that this is not the case.
