This week, secondary school students from the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel Ontario are taking part in a learning activity that will allow them to discover Native traditions. The activity was offered at Collège Notre-Dame on April 1 and will be repeated at École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur on April 3.

Greater Sudbury Transit has completed installation of a mobile video surveillance system on board its entire fleet of 60 buses. Each bus has been equipped with a digital video recorder and five interior cameras that monitor passenger seating, front and back bus doors and surrounding traffic.

The City of Greater Sudbury Fire Service is hosting a series of open houses for residents interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter. Families are invited to attend the open houses which include opportunities to speak with volunteer firefighters, complimentary barbecues and station tours.

On March 31, 2014 just prior to midnight, officers of the Greater Sudbury Police were in the east end of Lasalle Boulevard conducting pro-active police patrols. Their attention was drawn to a Chevrolet Cavalier that was parked near the roadway while occupied by two adults.
