Since February, grade 3 to 8 students at Lively’s École St-Paul are taking part in the newly introduced archery program. Students have already benefitted from several sessions and are being taught various elements of the sport, such as safety and the positioning of the body to increase accuracy.

Aysha Cotterill, a grade 10 student at Wawa’s École secondaire Saint-Joseph is one of the two Grand Prize Winners of the 2013 Citizenship Challenge. Out of 57 000 participants, 15-year-old Aysha was declared “Student Citizen of the Year” after obtaining a perfect score on the Challenge.

Update - March 21, 2014 - Members of the OPP Dive Team, who have been assisting the Greater Sudbury Police Service, have recovered the body of the missing person from Levack. The victim was located approx. 30 meters from the location where his personal belongings were found.
The GSPS will not be releasing any further details regarding this tragedy.
