Bad driver leads to recovery of stolen vehicle and two arrests

At approximately 2:45 a.m. Greater Sudbury Police Officers witnessed a motor vehicle making a wide turn from Lloyd Street on to Paris Street, almost striking the snow bank and temporarily losing control. The Officers followed the vehicle and requested the Communications Centre run the Licence Plate of the motor vehicle.
Upon running the Licence Plate, the Communications Centre informed the Officers that the vehicle had been reported stolen from a Greater Sudbury residence days before. A traffic stop was initiated and as Officers approached the vehicle, a firearm was observed on the floor of the driver’s seat that was later determined to be an airsoft type pistol.
The male driver was arrested and charged with the following;
-Breach of Recognizance by Justice (x3)
-Breach of Recognizance by Officer in Charge
-Breach of Probation
-possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.00
-Breach of Firearms Probation (x2)
-Drive While Under Suspension
A male passenger was also taken in to custody by Greater Sudbury Police with outstanding arrest warrants from Police Services down south.
