Update June 6th, 2014 - The victim has been identified as 20yr old Allan Ashawaagai.

Greater Sudbury Police have charged a 17 year old female whose name will not be released with second degree murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation. Her next court appearance will be on June 12th. The investigation continues.

Original Release - The Greater Sudbury Police Service is investigating a homicide which occurred on Bloor Street in Sudbury late this afternoon.

One person is in police custody and there is no further concern for public safety. Criminal Investigations officers, Forensics officers and Uniform officers are on scene gathering evidence, conducting interviews and canvassing the neighborhood.
