Robbery of Restaurant on Notre Dame, Sudbury

On Thursday October 2nd at 9 pm, a restaurant on Notre Dame was robbed by a lone male party using pepper spray. The male party ran from the restaurant after spraying pepper spray inside the restaurant and taking an undisclosed amount of cash. Several people were pepper sprayed. EMS attended to assist with decontamination at the scene. One person was transported to Health Sciences North for further decontamination but there were no life threatening injuries.

Police attended the area where containment was very quickly set up by Uniform officers, Tactical officers, Criminal Investigation Detectives, Break, Enter and Robbery (B.E.A.R.) Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit plainclothes officers. A canine track was conducted but the suspect was not located.

The lone suspect was described as 6 feet tall with medium build wearing a baggy hoodie, blue jacket, wearing gloves and carrying a black bag.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance for any information to help identify this suspect.
