(VAL CARON, ON) 2014 at approximately 8:13 p.m. a lone male entered the Pioneer Gas bar located at 3143 regional Road 80 in Val Caron. The male brandished a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of money was provided to the perpetrator who then fled on foot. A canine track was conducted in the area and was met with negative results. The male is described as approximately five feet eight inches tall, dressed in dark colored clothing, and of average build.

At the time of the robbery closed circuit television captured three motor vehicles leaving a restaurant located in the same parking lot that the robbery had occurred in. The occupants of the motor vehicles may have witnessed the suspect running off and are requested to contact the Greater Sudbury Police Services Break Enter and Robbery Unit.

The Greater Sudbury Police, BEAR Unit is continuing the investigation and any information can be forwarded to the investigators or information can be provided on a confidential basis to Crime Stoppers.
