The Greater Sudbury Police Service has an outstanding warrant for the arrest of William Armstrong.
The intersection of Martindale Road and Lorne Street, Sudbury will be temporarily closed due to construction. Members of the public are asked to avoid this area and take alternative routes. Greater Sudbury Police are on scene to assist with redirecting traffic. Fire and Ambulance services as well as Sudbury Transit have been advised.
The road closure is expected to last until approximately 2:00 p.m. today.

We recognize that there is some concern among some our readers regarding the respiratory illness known as Enterovirus (EV-D68). At this time of the year with many students returning to school there is always an increase in respiratory illnesses, especially in children. The Sudbury District Health Unit has however NOT reported any confirmed case of Enterovirus (EV-D68) in the Sudbury District.
As of late last week there have only been a handful of confirmed cases in Canada; 18 in Alberta, 3 in BC, and 4 cases in Ontario that CHEO confirmed did not result in intensive car treatment and from which all patients have made a complete recovery.
