As a result of a week-long investigation by members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service, in collaboration with the Canada Border Services Agency, police became aware that a resident of Spruce Street in Sudbury had imported a prohibited magazine and ammunition for a 223 calibre weapon from the United States.
At Approximately 6:30pm this evening Greater Sudbury Police blocked off a section of Spruce Street in Sudbury between MacLachlan and Ethelbert. Several homes have been evacuated as a precautionary measure and police are advising that there is no danger to the public in the area.
