On the evening of the 7th of April 2014, Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Greater Sudbury Police Service executed a search warrant at an apartment on Lasalle Boulevard. A search of the residence and an automobile resulted in the seizure of over $8000 in cash and over 1.3 kg of Marihuana valued at over $13,000.00.

Several CSCNO elementary schools participated in the Franco-Ontarian 2014 intermediate hockey tournament, which took place in Ottawa on 3 and 4 April. CSCNO schools have dominated the Division A. École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) won gold, Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford), won the silver and Ste-Marie (Azilda) won the bronze.
