On the 12th of January 2015, the Greater Sudbury Police Service was advised of the existence of two Canada Wide warrants relating to two different offenders.

The first offender, a 51 year old male, was on Statutory Release for Sexual Assault, Weapons Dangerous and other offences. He breached his Statutory Release therefore a Warrant was issued by Correctional Services Canada and the Greater Sudbury Police Services High Risk Offender Unit was contacted.

The second offender, a 21 year old male, was on Statutory Release for Weapons Dangerous, Break and enter and other offences. He also breached his Statutory Release and a Warrant was issued by Correctional Services Canada who again contacted the Greater Sudbury Police Services High Risk Offender unit.

The 21 year old male was located downtown and arrested without incident. The second offender was contacted by a member of the High Risk Offender Unit and turned himself in to Police. They were both transported to the Sudbury District Jail pending a review.
